| All you wanted to know about
moving with children |
| |
1) Why do we have to move?
Because your mum or dad has found a new house or a really
good job, and they'd be daft not to go. You're probably not looking
forward to going much, but you'll soon get in the swing of the
new place. After a few days you'll wonder what you were worried
about. |
| |
2) Can I take my toys?
Yes, no problem. Pack the toys you want into the boxes
the Fergusons man brings, then make up your own labels so that
everyone knows that they are yours and to 'keep their hands off'. |
| |
3) How long will it take to move?
If you're moving a long way it could take quite a few hours to get
there. Ask your mum or dad to show you on a map where your new
house is. |
| |
4) Can I still
see my friends?
If your moving to a different area you may not get to
see your friends very often, but you'll be able to send them
emails if they're online and you could even try writing them
a letter. It's also great fun to record tapes, mini discs or
videos and send them to each other. |
| |
5) Can I take
my pets?
There should be no reason
why you can't take your pets with you when you move. You may
need to make special arrangements so that they don't get
in the way when your packing and unpacking. You will also need
to make sure you have food and water available, if your journey
is likely to take a while.
